In the spring of 2024, the battalion carried out a successful counter-offensive operation in the Serebryanske Forestry, demonstrating its ability to operate effectively on the offensive. From late summer 2024 until February 2026, ‘Khoriv’ held its defences firmly in the Kupiansk sector, preventing the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory.

About unit
The ‘Khoriv’ Battalion is a combat unit of the National Guard’s ‘Bureviy’ Brigade and was formed as part of the ‘Guard of the Offensive’ recruitment project. From the very first days of its existence, the unit underwent intensive combat training, achieved the necessary cohesion and, as early as spring 2023, saw its first action near the village of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and in the summer of that same year took part in combat operations in the Svatove sector.

The battalion is currently carrying out combat missions in the Dobropillia sector.
In its relatively short history, the unit has gained significant combat experience, proven its ability to operate both in defence and on the offensive, and earned the respect of its comrades and allies.
