In August, the invaders attempted to infiltrate past the positions of the Defence Forces of Ukraine, seizing their last opportunity to advance undetected before the onset of fall.
However, thanks to the coordinated efforts of units within the area of responsibility of the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine, the enemy failed to achieve its objectives. Over the course of the month, the enemy lost 3,897 service members killed and 1,371 wounded, while 8 were taken prisoner.
Total enemy equipment losses—destroyed and damaged—over the course of the month:
- 2 tanks
- 7 armored combat vehicles
- 86 artillery systems
- 6 multiple rocket launcher systems
- 643 units of motor vehicles
- 3,461 fixed-wing strike UAVs and 192 fixed-wing reconnaissance UAVs
- 1,921 strike quadcopters and 314 reconnaissance quadcopters
- 649 engineering and fortification structures and command posts
Electronic warfare forces and assets suppressed:
- 1,356 fixed-wing strike UAVs
- 9,638 strike quadcopters
