On the first anniversary of the establishment of the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine, servicemen received distinctions from the Corps command and from the command of the Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops “East”.
This year demonstrated the Corps’ capabilities on the front line, where, since August 2025, Azov has been holding one of the most difficult sectors — the Dobropillia axis.
The command noted that thanks to the dedication and professionalism of the fighters of the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine and adjacent units, it was possible to stop the enemy and eliminate an enemy breakthrough 15 kilometers wide and 20 kilometers deep. The offensive potential of the enemy’s 51st and 8th Armies, as well as its naval infantry grouping, was destroyed, and many Russians were added to the prisoner exchange pool.
The servicemen received high state awards, departmental distinctions from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, commemorative coins, and valuable gifts from the commander of the Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops “East”. The fighters also received the highest award of the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine — Corps shoulder patches.

There is still much work ahead. Azov continues to build up its capabilities. Fighters from all brigades of the Corps are working jointly within the designated area of responsibility together with brothers-in-arms from adjacent units so that the destruction of the enemy becomes even more effective.
