On January 29–30, Kyiv hosted a major sporting event organized by the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine. The tournament was dedicated to the Kruty Heroes Remembrance Day, as well as to warriors who are currently held in enemy captivity or who were tortured to death in Russian imprisonment.
The competition brought together 22 teams, including representatives of various branches of the military, law enforcement agencies, and cadets from higher military educational institutions.

Among combat unit teams, first place was claimed by representatives of the Northern Territorial Administration of the National Guard of Ukraine. In the category of higher military educational institutions, the top position was secured by cadets of the Zhytomyr Military Institute named after S.P. Korolyov.
Both service members and cadets demonstrated a high level of team spirit, motivation, and physical fitness. Sporting events of this kind are intended to unite current and future defenders around shared values and friendly competition. The Corps will continue to organize similar tournaments in the future.
The tournament was organized in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, FC Lokomotyv, the Agency for Mass Sports of Ukraine, and the National University of Ukraine on Physical Education and Sport.
