The cooperation between the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation (UCF) and the Corps will focus on a grant programme supporting cultural and artistic projects dedicated to reflecting on the war and the lived experience of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anastasiia Obraztsova, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, outlined the key areas of cooperation with the Corps in more detail. The UCF continues to actively involve service members in shaping cultural and artistic projects addressing the theme of war. She emphasized that it is fundamentally important for the Foundation to bring to society the voices of those who are living through the war. This is not about official reports or documents, but about the Ukrainian cultural space itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the partnership between UCF and the First Corps Azov, a joint grant competition will be launched in the near future. The programme will be aimed at artistic reflection on the experience of war and at addressing social trauma in sensitive areas, particularly those affecting Ukrainians impacted by the war, including veterans, children, and internally displaced persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chair of the UCF Supervisory Board Nataliia Kryvda noted that the upcoming joint programme continues the broader policy of consolidating Ukrainian society and preserving national memory:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The joint programme of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and the Azov Corps is part of our shared struggle. An artist must feel its pulse, while a warrior must know that their service and sacrifice will become part of the nation\u2019s cultural memory.<\/div>

The First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine shares this vision of the UCF. Within the Corps, culture is viewed as a fundamental element of national identity, one that is shaped and strengthened in times of war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our national identity is being forged today on the battlefield \u2014 in the struggle for existence and the right to determine our own future. At the same time, cultural identity remains fundamental: it shapes both our intention and our capacity to defend what is ours during war. Azov has long and consistently supported the cultural dimension. The joint programme with the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation creates opportunities for artistic expressions of military culture, through which the army and the war itself can be meaningfully understood.<\/div>

The new joint grant call will support cultural and artistic products in a wide range of formats, including interactive memory platforms, artistic objects and spatial installations, podcasts, exhibitions and displays, video content, theatrical productions, performances and staged readings, as well as literary and publishing projects such as catalogues, art books, and collected works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
