About unit
The 41st Unmanned Systems Regiment “Pilum” is a specialized unit within First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine. The regiment’s primary missions are the destruction and neutralization of enemy forces and assets. The unit specializes in eliminating enemy personnel directly on the line of contact, as well as targeting enemy logistics, equipment, supply depots, supply routes, and other critical elements of enemy combat support. Particular emphasis is placed on operations in enemy rear areas, where strike drones conduct deep strikes against targets and disrupt the supply systems of Russian forces. The regiment also conducts aerial reconnaissance, maintains continuous surveillance of the area of operations and enemy rear areas, tracks enemy movements, and adjusts fire from artillery and other fire assets. The unit actively employs ground robotic systems for logistical and combat missions, and serves as the corps’ technological force multiplier. Its establishment is part of the transition to a modern model of warfare in which unmanned systems are integrated across all levels of combat operations — from reconnaissance and strike missions to logistical support of corps units.
The regiment’s philosophy is grounded in professionalism, technological superiority, and the combat experience of Azov commanders. Its development involves military specialists with extensive practical experience in modern warfare and in building effective unmanned systems management structures.
