Requirements

  • military service in the National Guard, Armed Forces, or Border Guard Service of Ukraine;
  • full general secondary or vocational/technical education;
  • basic knowledge of UAS and FPV drone construction and operating principles (training provided if lacking);
  • skills in assembling, configuring, maintaining, and minor repair of UAS/FPV drones in field conditions (training provided if lacking);
  • ability to work with batteries, video systems, and firmware;
  • knowledge of storage, transport, and record-keeping rules for FPV drones and military property, and maintaining related documentation;
  • knowledge of safety measures when handling explosive components (if security clearance is held);
  • fitness for service, stress resilience, readiness for combat conditions;
  • discipline, responsibility, chain of command, confidentiality, and readiness to follow commander’s orders.

Responsibilities

  • organizing and overseeing UAS, ground control stations, and auxiliary equipment operation;
    ensuring UAS serviceability:
  • maintenance, diagnostics, routine repair;
  • pre-flight and post-flight inspections of unmanned aircraft;
  • organizing battery storage, transport, and charging;
  • recording UAS, batteries, spare parts, consumables, and software;
  • monitoring flight safety and labor protection during UAS operation;
  • preparing UAS for combat tasks and restoring them afterward;
  • training personnel in UAS operation, maintenance, and safe use;
  • ensuring compliance with instructions, orders, and governing documents;
  • identifying and resolving malfunctions;
  • preparing reporting and technical documentation.

Terms

  • the opportunity to serve under contract or through mobilization until the end of martial law;
  • the opportunity for active-duty service members to transfer from other units;
  • provision of high-quality, modern equipment and technical support;
  • service at training grounds, at the unit’s permanent deployment sites, and in field conditions;
  • basic pay ranging from 25,000 to 127,000 UAH, depending on duties and place of service;
  • ongoing medical, psychological, and social support;
  • free medical treatment and rehabilitation;
  • regular training with professional instructors to improve combat skills;
  • free access to training programs and lecture materials.
