For the first time, the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine and the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted joint command post exercises with the support of the Security Assistance Group–Ukraine (SAG-U).
The importance of these exercises is driven by the adjacency of the corps’ areas of responsibility on the front line. Accordingly, staff officers focused on synchronizing joint efforts and refining joint planning.
In turn, the commander of the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine, Brigadier General Denys Prokopenko, emphasized that the purpose of the exercises was to ensure coordination at the junction of the corps, building an integrated system of reconnaissance, fire engagement, and mining to prevent the enemy from breaking through the defensive line.
