The concept of “creativity” in the Ukrainian military has extended far beyond operational planning or the search for unconventional technological solutions.
Since the start of the full-scale war, communication between Defense Forces units and the civilian population has reached an entirely new level. Advertising, recruiting, and fundraising campaigns have come to stand out for their considered design, carefully crafted messaging, and artistic techniques in video content.
Brave Awards is Ukraine’s first military advertising competition, recognizing creative communications produced by service members themselves or in collaboration with advertising agencies. The debut program received 145 submissions, with 55 units from various military and security structures competing across the nomination categories.
Five distinct campaigns produced by Azov Corps, Azov Brigade, and AZOV.ONE were recognized with awards.
Azov’s projects received:
- Gold — “Mine Is in Azov” and “Azov School”;
- Silver — “Christmas Begins in the East” and the “STRUM” subscription;
- Bronze — “Love Is Stronger Than Everything”.
We are grateful to the jury for this recognition, as the majority of the awarded campaigns were created and executed entirely in-house, with minimal external involvement.
These results would not have been possible without the people who supported us at various stages of the work. Our thanks to all friends and partners. The projects were produced by the Strategic Communications Department and the Press Service of the 1st Azov Corps, 4308 production, and the Press Service of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov.”
See you next year!
