Reports have emerged on Russian Z-propagandist channels claiming that the Russian Armed Forces allegedly have full control over the city of Rodynske in Donetsk Oblast.
These claims are false and are intended to create the illusion of Russian advances and to sow panic within Ukrainian society.
In an attempt to stage visuals for social media, the Russian army is employing a familiar tactic: infiltrating small infantry groups into the city to raise the flag of the aggressor state. Such groups are destroyed by units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces; however, in some cases, before being eliminated, they manage to briefly display the Russian flag on camera.
At present, search-and-strike operations aimed at eliminating enemy assault groups are ongoing within the city. Defensive fighting for Rodynske continues, and information from Russian sources about alleged full control over the city does not correspond to reality.
The First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine calls on the public to trust official statements from the Defense Forces and to refrain from spreading Russian disinformation.
