Fighters from the “Tuman” Separate Special Operations Detachment received well-deserved awards and Corps insignia

The commander of the 1 Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine, Brigadier General Denys “Redis” Prokopenko, presented state awards and departmental honors to the fighters of the “Tuman” Separate Special Operations Detachment.

Among the awards presented were: the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, 3rd Class; the Order “For Courage,” 3rd Class; medals “For Military Service to Ukraine” and “For Lifesaving”; the state award from the President of Ukraine “For the Defense of Ukraine”; the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s “Cross of the Brave”; the “Steel Cross,” “Silver Cross,” “Gold Cross,” and “For a Saved Life,” as well as awards from the National Security and Defense Council, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, and a letter of appreciation from the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The soldiers also received the highest award of the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine — the Corps’ patch.

During the award ceremony, the Corps Commander thanked the servicemen for their courage and heroism in repelling enemy infiltration, and the unit commander for building a cohesive team.
