Social Support Department “Azov Dbaie” 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov"
About unit
Azov Dbaie is a new approach within the Social Support Department of First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine, designed to strengthen support for servicemembers through systematic care for their families.
It is an integrated support system for the families of servicemembers — active, held captive, missing, or fallen — through which we respond to families’ needs while creating opportunities for support, development, and recovery, combining social and legal assistance with medical, psychological, educational, and social support.
Mission. To be a space of trust, growth, and remembrance for Azov — where every family has a foundation, and every servicemember serves with the confidence that their loved ones are in the care of the entire Azov family.
Areas of work:
- Social and Legal Assistance — we handle documentation, payments, and benefits, and provide ongoing support to the families of servicemembers, with particular focus on families of those held captive, fallen, or missing.
- Education and Development — we create educational and developmental opportunities for children and families through programs, activity groups, and scholarships.
- Medical and Psychological Support — we organize medical care and psychological assistance to help the families of servicemembers recover.
- Recreation and Rehabilitation — we provide trips and leisure activities for emotional recovery and quality family time.
- Social Aid and Daily Life — we provide basic assistance and address the everyday needs of families.
- Partnerships and Fundraising — we secure resources through partnerships, grants, and communication campaigns.
- PR and Communications — we amplify our work and build public trust and respect for servicemembers.
- Honoring Memory and Brotherhood — we preserve the memory and uphold the traditions of the military community.
We strive for Azov to be known not only for its strength on the front line, but as a model of responsible care for its own — a standard for the Ukrainian military and society at large.
We are building a new culture of care within the military — consistent, dignified, and sustained.
