Responsibilities
- checking, configuring, and diagnosing the condition of EW equipment;
- performing preventive maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operation of equipment;
- installing, configuring, and testing new systems;
- laying cables, mounting antennas, and installing other system components;
- identifying malfunctions using specialized diagnostic equipment;
- repairing, replacing, and updating equipment components;
- operating and managing equipment both in field conditions and at stationary sites;
- maintaining stable system performance during task execution;
- suppressing enemy radio signals;
- protecting own communication channels from enemy interception and jamming;
- maintaining technical documentation on equipment condition, work performed, and resources used;
- preparing reports on the effectiveness of equipment use;
- training other service members to operate the equipment;
- advising on EW tactics suited to specific conditions;
- keeping up to date with the latest developments in electronic warfare.
Terms
