Requirements

a bachelor’s degree in medicine with a major in surgery;
a valid certificate or license;
practical experience performing emergency surgical procedures, including in field conditions;
ability to work under pressure;
sense of responsibility;
ability to make quick decisions.

Responsibilities

conducting examinations, making diagnoses, and performing emergency/urgent surgical procedures on the wounded in field and combat conditions;
providing care to stabilize the condition of the seriously wounded prior to evacuation to rear hospitals;
maintaining medical records, filling out patient charts, and preparing reports;
coordinating actions with medical personnel (paramedics, nurses, orderlies) during medical evacuations or operations;
implementing preventive measures among personnel to prevent complications from injuries and surgical infections.
