Responsibilities
- conducting examinations, making diagnoses, and performing emergency/urgent surgical procedures on the wounded in field and combat conditions;
- providing care to stabilize the condition of the seriously wounded prior to evacuation to rear hospitals;
- maintaining medical records, filling out patient charts, and preparing reports;
- coordinating actions with medical personnel (paramedics, nurses, orderlies) during medical evacuations or operations;
- implementing preventive measures among personnel to prevent complications from injuries and surgical infections.
