Requirements

  • a bachelor’s degree in medicine with a major in surgery;
  • a valid certificate or license;
  • practical experience performing emergency surgical procedures, including in field conditions;
  • ability to work under pressure;
  • sense of responsibility;
  • ability to make quick decisions.

Responsibilities

  • conducting examinations, making diagnoses, and performing emergency/urgent surgical procedures on the wounded in field and combat conditions;
  • providing care to stabilize the condition of the seriously wounded prior to evacuation to rear hospitals;
  • maintaining medical records, filling out patient charts, and preparing reports;
  • coordinating actions with medical personnel (paramedics, nurses, orderlies) during medical evacuations or operations;
  • implementing preventive measures among personnel to prevent complications from injuries and surgical infections.

Terms

  • the opportunity to serve under contract or through mobilization until the end of martial law;
  • the opportunity for active-duty service members to transfer from other units;
  • provision of high-quality, modern equipment and technical support;
  • service at training grounds, at the unit’s permanent deployment bases, and in field conditions;
  • basic pay ranging from 25,000 to 127,000 UAH, depending on duties and place of service;
  • ongoing medical, psychological, and social support;
  • free medical treatment and rehabilitation;
  • regular training with professional instructors to improve combat skills;
  • free access to training programs and lecture materials.
