Responsibilities
- carrying out the instructions of the crew commander and the commands of the gun layer;
- preparing and readying rounds (mines) for 82mm or 120mm mortars for firing;
- loading and unloading the mortar, quickly bringing it to combat readiness;
- preparing ammunition and ensuring uninterrupted firing;
- setting up and camouflaging mortar positions;
- rapidly relocating the crew when changing positions;
- participating in fire adjustment calculations;
- maintaining a clear understanding of ammunition quantity and condition at the position, and providing accurate reports to the crew commander.
Terms
