Standards of First Corps Azov units of the National Guard of Ukraine solemnly consecrated at the coffin of Colonel Konovalets

Yevhen Konovalets was a tireless fighter for Ukraine, for whom the state’s independence stood above party or personal interests. He remains a model for the Ukrainian military and forever stays with us in formation.

By touching the unit standards to Colonel Konovalets’s coffin during the consecration ceremony, the units received a symbolic blessing to continue the fight for freedom and independence against the eternal enemy.

A nation is always in motion, and its sustainable development depends on the connection between past and future generations — on descendants honoring the memory of those from whom we received the banner of the struggle.
