The “UK-UA Defence Tech Forum” is an international cooperation platform for Ukrainian and British companies, investors, and government agencies working in the field of defense technology. The forum is dedicated to the development of security and defense innovations, particularly in drones, AI, cybersecurity, and dual-use military technologies. Representatives of the First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine were among the speakers at the 5th forum, which took place in London.

Major Vladyslav “Patriot” Yevseiev shared the experience of the Corps’ air defense units, elaborated on the importance and practical applications of interceptor drones, and discussed the specifics of manufacturing air defense systems and scaling the production.

During wartime, the classic development–testing–mass production cycle is too slow. Direct communication between the corps and manufacturers allows us to create ‘intermediate’ product series: every batch differs slightly from the previous one based on freshly gained frontline experience.

Major, First Corps “Azov” of the National Guard of Ukraine servicemember.

In his presentation, Junior Sergeant Mykhailo “Q” Malkush demonstrated developments by the 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov in the field of unmanned ground vehicles. He specifically emphasized the evolution of various UGV types, the specifics of their use, and the challenges related to the future development of this class of unmanned systems.

The strong international interest in the unique experience of the First Corps Azov highlights promising opportunities for developing joint solutions with partners, which, in turn, will help Ukraine stay one step ahead of the enemy.
