On June 1, 1994, the military units that later became the brigades Bureviy, Chervona Kalyna, and Kara Dag were officially established. Over 32 years, Ukraine and the missions of its defense forces have changed beyond recognition. But the best have always stepped forward to defend the state at its most critical moments, as these units did in 2014 and 2022.
Today, the brigades fight against the enemy as part of First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine. On this anniversary, fighters were presented with state awards and unit decorations from the Corps commander, Brigadier General Denys “Redis” Prokopenko. Among the awards: the Order for Courage, 3rd Class, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine distinctions Steel Cross and Cross of the Brave, and honorary firearms.

The commander congratulated the service members on the anniversary and thanked them for their dedicated service to Ukraine. Their valor, openness to innovation, and constant exchange of experience have been key to effectively countering the occupiers year after year.
More work lies ahead. More results to follow.
