The adoption of the Constitution was preceded by centuries of struggle for Ukrainian statehood. Before ink met paper, the blood of heroes had already been shed. It is through their deeds that Ukraine gained Independence.
Today, Ukrainians are once again defending their right to rule their own land and govern themselves by their own laws. We remember the fallen heroes and carry on their cause.

Yuzkov, as well as the pen used by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada to sign the first official edition of the Constitution.
