Exactly four years have passed since the Russians committed one of the most brutal war crimes in modern history. As a result of the explosion that occurred on the evening of July 28 in “Barrack 200,” approximately 50 Azov servicemen were killed, and more than 130 others were severely wounded.
Despite Russian attempts to shift the blame for the deaths of Special Forces Detachment Azov servicemen onto Ukraine, the details of the terrorist attack, as recounted by former prisoners of war, leave no doubt that it was the Russians who orchestrated the explosion.
Gatherings held in various Ukrainian cities in memory of the fighters treacherously killed in Olenivka brought together witnesses and survivors of the event, as well as the families of fallen servicemen and those still held in captivity.
During the gathering in Kyiv, a memorial installation dedicated to the victims of the Olenivka terrorist attack was unveiled, and eyewitnesses shared testimony about the attack. Memorial events were also held in Kharkiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Kropyvnytskyi, and Lutsk.
We remember those who perished in Russian prisons. We fight for those who remain in captivity. Our struggle will not stop until every Azov serviceman comes home.
