Anti-Aircraft Missile Artillery Division 20th Operational Brigade “Lubart”

About unit

The anti-aircraft missile and artillery battalion began carrying out combat missions as part of the 20th “Lubart” Rapid Deployment Brigade in mid-October 2025. Starting November 5, the unit began performing tasks to cover the airspace and counter enemy unmanned aerial systems using FPV interceptors.

From the very first months of operation, the division’s fighters continuously improved their capabilities in combating enemy air targets. The unit pays particular attention to detecting and destroying reconnaissance UAVs, as well as strike drones, including the “Shahed” type.

In January, February, and March 2026, the division was among the most effective units of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov” in terms of the number of aerial targets destroyed. Thanks to its high operational effectiveness, the unit has begun scaling up and expanding its combat capabilities by increasing the number of crews and interceptor teams.

As of today, the division has four crews of FPV interceptors that carry out combat missions around the clock. The soldiers work both day and night, ensuring airspace protection, timely detection of enemy targets, and their rapid destruction.
