Requirements

  • mandatory higher education (master’s or specialist degree);

  • rank of captain (in some cases — major);

  • full fitness for military service according to the military medical commission (MMC) conclusion;

  • preference given to candidates with experience serving as commanders of anti-aircraft missile or artillery platoons;

  • knowledge of anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) employment tactics and air defense organization;

  • understanding of the structure and rules for correct use of weapons, radar, and communication equipment;

  • ability to make strategic and tactical decisions under stress, manage combat operations of the unit;

  • skills in maintaining a working map, reconnaissance logs, reference point diagrams, and combat action logs.

Responsibilities

  • organizing work at the command and observation post (COP), maintaining a working map and target diagram;

  • directing the fire of anti-aircraft systems;

  • employing anti-aircraft FPV drones and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to destroy enemy aircraft;

  • coordinating with anti-aircraft artillery platoons (ZU-23) and other air defense systems.

Terms

  • the opportunity to serve under contract or through mobilization until the end of martial law;
  • the opportunity for active-duty service members to transfer from other units;
  • provision of high-quality, modern equipment and technical support;
  • service at training grounds, at the unit’s permanent deployment sites, and in field conditions;
  • basic pay ranging from 25,000 to 127,000 UAH, depending on duties and place of service;
  • ongoing medical, psychological, and social support;
  • free medical treatment and rehabilitation;
  • regular training with professional instructors to improve combat skills;
  • free access to training programs and lecture materials.
