Requirements

  • experience cutting metal on a CNC laser cutting machine;
  • experience with specialized software and CAM systems;
  • equipment maintenance skills;
  • knowledge of safety procedures;
  • education: secondary, specialized secondary/higher;
  • willingness to constantly learn and develop.

Responsibilities

  • reading technical documentation and drawings, understanding metal specifications and part tolerance requirements;
  • working in CAM systems: loading files (.dxf, .dwg), nesting parts on the sheet to minimize material waste;
  • configuring cutting parameters (laser power, speed, pulse frequency, assist gas pressure) based on metal type and thickness;
  • aligning and focusing the laser head, centering the nozzle;
  • loading metal sheets onto the work table (manually or using lifting equipment);
  • monitoring cut quality and promptly identifying program errors or processing faults;
  • replacing consumables (nozzles, protective glass, ceramic holders) and lubricating the machine’s moving parts;
  • removing, labeling, and cleaning finished parts of process residue, and verifying dimensions (calipers, micrometer, templates);
  • daily maintenance: cleaning the work area, rails, and table of slag and dust; checking the chiller, gas cylinders, and exhaust system filters;
  • complying with safety and fire-prevention requirements (especially when cutting with oxygen);
  • maintaining reporting logs: completed work, metal offcut tracking, and equipment malfunction records.

Terms

  • the opportunity to serve under contract or through mobilization until the end of martial law;
