Responsibilities
- diagnosing, servicing, and repairing transmission units (automatic transmissions, transfer cases, gearboxes, etc.);
- identifying faults, disassembling, inspecting for defects, repairing, and reassembling units;
- replacing worn or damaged parts and components;
- adjusting and testing units after repair, maintaining their proper condition;
- monitoring lubricants in transmission components;
- participating in the restoration of damaged equipment;
- using specialized tools and equipment.
Terms
