Basic Combat Training course graduation: from recruits to warriors of the Corps Azov

A ceremonial graduation marked the completion of another Basic Combat Training Course. Instructors and the command of the Personnel Training Battalion of the First Corps Azov congratulated the recruits of the 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov and the 20th Operational Brigade Lubart on successfully finishing the program.

The top recruits of the Azov Brigade received unit patches, while the best marksmen of the entire course were awarded the First-Class Marksman Badge.

This badge is a compact code of rifle mastery. The shield symbolizes readiness to hold the line and take responsibility for every shot. The crossed swords convey resolve in action and a warrior’s offensive spirit. The laurel branch beneath the shield represents recognition of personal progress earned through sweat, endurance, and discipline.

The numeral “1” marks the first step — the moment a recruit ceases to be a novice and becomes a marksman who has demonstrated fundamental technique, resilience, and responsibility. The badge confirms attainment of this initial standard of Azov professionalism. From this point, the path of a true warrior begins.
